We've never had a list, just answer the questions.
There are items that you cannot bring into Canada and there are items that you cannot bring into the US. Just do your best.
True story: Returning to the US (US customs) we were asked about tomatoes. I ate one and gave them 5. Also green onion tops - we cut them off and kept the bottoms. The agent said they had just received these new restrictions. Never mind that they were purchased in the US. The agent petted our cat and didn't ask a single question about her.
BTW No firewood allowed into Canada, at least last time I crossed.
