$8/gal - Ouch, the highest I was aware of last summer was $6.50/gal. A little advance planning and hopefully you can avoid those high prices. One person didn't fill at Dawson Creek, bought minimum fuel at Pink Mountain for $6.50/gal to get to Ft Nelson.
My fuel log can be helpful to plan for fuel purchases.
Whatever you decide, RVing in Alaska and Canada is the adventure of a lifetime
Absolutely!!!
We went as a "Once in a life time adventure" to finally cross Alaska off of our bucket list. It wasn't a cheap trip and I under estimated our costs. But it turned into an
adventure and we plan to return in 2015. It’s like "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead", or "Damn the once in a life time trip,
Full speed ahead to the adventure."
And I like to tell my friends - you can certainly drive the speed limit, no problem - just take enough money to buy a new rig! :B
