At Haines Junction, the gas station on the corner of the AK Hwy and Haines Hwy junction has been taken over by North of 60 Petrol. Cheapest fuel in the Junction now; previously it was Otter Falls Lodge 30 km south of the Junction. The North of 60 pumps are 24/7 with debit/credit cards only. There is no attendant there.
I think they're hoping to have the grocery store in the Junction re-opened this year. Time will tell. It's been a hit & miss situation.
Border City was closed for a spell last summer. Might still be closed. I heard some rumours about financial problems.
We fueled at Border City on the way south, in mid July, before over-nighting at the lodge campground in Beaver Creek.
What was the fuel stop toward Whitehorse that had RV parking w/hookups? Looked good, but was blocked off when we were in Haines Junction overnight on our way south.
