My husband and I are planning a trip to AK this summer - we own a 34 ft Jayco but wanted something smaller to travel in, something that can be pulled by my jeep so we also just bought an 18ft r-pod, picking it up this week. We plan to travel to AK in this with our 2 golden retrievers, Winston and Dylan. Should be interesting! We will pull the TT with our Tundra, hopefully gas mileage will be better than the 9 mpg we get pulling larger trailer. We are downsizing for sure, but that should make travel easier, less complicated. As long as I have room for my camera and fishing equipment, I'll be happy. Our plans include a stay in Denali NP, at the Teklanika campground, a drive to the Arctic Circle, a week in Haines, Lake Louise and the wine county in Kelowna. We are so looking forward to the trip and hope to meet up with you other fortunate campers who are making the same journey.
