Well now, you got me looking. Just spent the last hour or so re routing. Cut out the intentions of going to Jasper then N to Prince George. We have been to Jasper already. Inserted going over KHP, on to a bit west of Kamloops then N to Prince George. Thank you.
We went up to Alaska last summer using part of the route you mentioned--Kelowna, Kamloops, Cache Creek, Williams Lake, Prince George, then over on the Yellowhead Highway to the Cassiar Highway. We came home through Grande Prairie, Hinton, Jasper, Lake Louise, and Banff. Our trip to Takakkaw Falls was just a day trip from Lake Louise.
BTW, don't try to take a large RV up to the falls; use your toad or TV, The road has switchbacks so tight that I had to back and fill in my mid-sized pickup to get around them. And we had to wait to do that until a tour bus going to the falls backed up the hairpins because they were much too tight for him to turn around them. There were signs saying "no large vehicles beyond this point," but that apparently doesn't apply to tour buses!
