We have almost completed our plans for our trip, will be gone 8 weeks but luckily we live in Montana so we don't have to travel for a distant part of the US to get here. We made reservations in a few locations - I kept reading about these caravans and was concerned we would arrive somewhere and have no place to camp. I had forgotten about the floods of last year, apparently many campgrounds south of Calgary were washed away/heavily damaged so we are going to cross the border a little further west and go up that way. We picked up our new Forest River r-pod yesterday, brought it home from Idaho. It is small but I think we will have a ball traveling in it. So excited to start getting ready even though we don't leave for a several months! Doesn't hurt to dream/plan...
