All you folks with plans are making me feel unprepared. We don't really have a plan for the trip. We sorta make it up as we go. We and my brother and sister-in-law are departing late May. Starting to get antsy.
Not having a defined plan and being flexible is a great way for the trip. While it's different and unique it not like you're going to a foreign country - I mean it's like you're in British Canada - they are very wonderful people and ditto for the people in Alaska.
These are hardy people who depend upon themselves for survival and failing that their friends and neighbors will be there. And during the summer many of them want our experience to be grand.
Enjoy your adventure!
