The one station we saw in Steward had a 12' 6" sign posted so be aware. I thought it strange that the height was posted in English units which was another red flag to me but apparently this is common in some areas of Canada.
You still often hear and see the Imperial units. Wanted criminals are always listed with their height in feet & inches and their weight in pounds. I am quite 'metrified' but that's how I measure myself. We have friends that won't have anything to do with metrics, they call them 'French'!
Anything official though will be metric, with the exception of the crooks' descriptions.
