We like to fill up every 250 miles and northbound usually fill up at the Hwy 16 junction, Bell II, Dease Lake and then Watson Lake. No problems.
Our truck also has a short range and, last summer, we filled up at exactly the same locations that Sue did, plus Stewart. Sounds like a lot of fills, but we did a lot of driving in the Stewart area--one RT to Salmon Glacier and 3 RTs to the USFS bear-viewing platform and the bear-viewing town dump at Hyder.
Cheapest gas by far was at the Hwy. 16/37 Junction station. So, if you are northbound on the Cassiar and have plenty of fuel to reach Stewart or Bell II, stop there and top the tank off. You won't see prices like those again until you reach Alaska!
