I did a story for a local paper ion the USS Ranger when it was in Vancouver. I got the Cooks Tour from a sailor that was 'volunteered' to show me all. One of things I still remember was the noise..and the Ranger was not in working mode, and smell of fuels and oils. I had that smell on me for weeks, it seemed. The guy took me thru his station..Fire Suppression..and his rack/sleeping area.
So..how 'did' you sleep?
