Roll Call Alaska 2014
Anyone traveling to Alaska in 2014? We ,my wife and I, are planning a trip and was wondering if anyone is planning on going in 2014 also. Would go this year, except we have two weddings to go to in...

This is a 99.9% posting that we too will be able to make our Alaska trip in 2014! We'll confirm this within the next four days, after the DW's Mom has her next Doctors visit.
(We were 8 days away from leaving last June with the 2013 Alaska Tribe, when MIL blew out her lower intestines. It's been a rocky, bumpy year for her, but she is now free of infections and abscesses. Yeah!)
We've been cautiously prepping, with the exception of making one or two reservations for the July 4th and Denali parks - but figure we'll jump on the phone next week and see what we can find. If nothing, dry camping will work for us too:)!
Departure date? We'll leave San Diego the week after Easter, and hit the border crossing into Canada at the 1st of May. (We need to be back for our Daughters wedding in September, so I want to get the wife home to enjoy the last month of insanity - probably hit San Diego the third week of August. Thus a bit earlier departure.)
I still have our sign for the signpost forest with the '2013' on it:)!
Please give us a honk, or stop by and say Hi along the road. Our white CRV has 'ONDROAD' and our CC Allure has 'THEJRNY' SD Plates.
And please add us to the 2014 roster, as 99.9% is looking pretty dang close to 100%!

(Side note: I really appreciate the info sharing on this Alaska forum section. I've learned so much by reading the 2013 gangs sticky, the 2014 gangs too - and well, almost every post on this forum going back for quite sometime:)! Many thanks for those that share their knowledge, and we hope to add to this braintrust ahead too.)
