Turn them off, put them away, enjoy the scenery. The world will continue without you being part of it for awhile. There are enough places with WIFI to touch base with civilization every so often.
I remember the days in Yukon when we had a four digit number for our black rotary phone. And just about everybody was on a party line.
Still don't have cellular service at our cabin and the land line came in only 8 years ago.
