Don't go overboard. The signs are often removed and rehung on posts in a more orderly fashion than individuals manage on their own. Your sign might also be moved to a different post in a different location.
We have no idea where our sign from 20 years ago is. It certainly isn't where we posted it.
That is the same with mine from 28 years back. I gave up looking for it. I just stop and rest there.
Good to know...and good advice. While waiting impatiently for departure day, it is easy to over-think things.
