Verizon Data..... just spent some time online with a nice Verizon rep. I have a plan that is about 4 years old with unlimited data so I don't want to mess with it. He did help me find what they call Global Data which I could add onto my service for $25 for 100 mb, good for 1 billing cycle. I added it for 3 since I'll need it heading up through Canada then on the way south. This will be good for both hotspot data (I can use my cell phone as a wifi hotspot when I can get a cell signal) and as device data (when I check email on the cell phone itself). If I use the cell phone to make a phone call I'll have to pay roaming charges of $.89/minute so I'll limit those for sure!
We call Verizon before entering Canada and get phone service through Telus for an Additional $15/month. Same minutes etc. Is this not available for your plan?
