I have nothing to offer for Dawson, but PH I can talk about. If you are dry camping..as in Mall camping, turn left at the Casino and head west on 16 about 2 miles..up the hill..turn left and over into the Mall..Home Depot has wifi, Wal-Mart has...Wal-Mart and there are chain food joints galore. If you want a campsite, there are several as you drive into PG..about 4 or 5 miles out. Gary Haupt
We stayed at Bee Lazee RV Park just south of PG last summer. OK park, but better than most in Alaska and definitely better than Kamloops RV Park. Most sites have some bushes and trees, so there is some privacy. We used their swimming pool on a rather hot day and they have an RV wash, which most parks do not have.
Prince George was a major stop for us last year. Heading north, it was the last "city" we hit before Anchorage. So, we had the truck serviced, did our laundry, shopped at our first Canadian Superstore, visited Home Depot, ate at a Chinese restaurant, etc., to get everything ready for the Cassiar Highway portion of our trip.
