We are in Dawson Creek! Drove to Banff as quick as possible then started slowing down.
Banff, Tunnel Mountain Village 2, was almost full when we left Sat. a.m. It was the beginning of the long weekend. Lake Louise is still thawing out. Lots of snow still on the ground around the summer gondola. The view was still awesome from the top viewpoint! Drove up the Icefields Parkway and most Cg's closed still due to snow.
Stayed at Jasper KOA and the view and facilities were amazing! Not crazy about the price but a good overnight spot.
In Dawson Creek at Northern Lights. Best CG in town from the looks of the others as we passed. Its about 3/4 full.
Going to Fort Nelson tomorrow the onto Liard Hot Springs. I made a reservation today for Ft. Nelson with no problem. I met several others headed to AK as well. Things are starting to pick up.
Rig is awful dirty but the drive has been beautiful!
