If you answer "Yes," does that trigger a rig search? A look at my Texas license plates tells them the answer before they ask the question."
There are no secrets at the border....if someone has Criminal Record, owns weapons, has had dealings with authority in the past..it's all there to be seen by the border agents. The answers you give when asked, will have a huge impact on whether you are passed thru or asked to pull off for an inspection.
If a person has decided to try and bs their way thru a border, they are likely to have a rough ride, if, on the other hand, all questions are answered honestly, then it will be a straight forward look-see. You may not like it, but you don't have to fear it.
If anyone in an RV has a major thing against being asked questions about certain things that they know fully well to expect..like gun ownership...they had best re-evaluate what it is that they are doing.
And this applies to both borders, eh...the US and Canada have very serious concerns about what people say they are doing and carrying visa-vi what they are actually doing and carrying.
