Been on the dark side of the moon internet-wise for the past few days thoroughly enjoying Yukons Government Parks doing a side trip to Atlin, then Skagway for a daytrip (what a zoo with just a few small ships in port), quick stop in Whitehorse for a few supplies, Pine Lake Government CG near Haines Jct, now Haines for a few days at one of Alaskas best kept secrets, Chillkoot Lake Rec Area ($10PN dry camping, no cellphone coverage either).
Was hoping for better animal sighting on the way to Haines yesterday. Only one porcupine. Wonderfully scenic road though & one nasty 3000' hill that will have to be climbed getting back to Haines Jct.
No complaints on the weather so far. A few showers. Some clouds covering mountain tops still covered in snow which would make some really stunning pics if they had a blue sky background.
