Trip report.
Lloydminster Alberta. We crossed the border at Portal this morning, no problem, just a few questions on guns and about the bear spray, got asked where I bought it and if it has the bear statement on the bottle, all ok, I bought it at Cabelas.
We camped at the Northgate Dam in North Dakota about 20 miles before the border. $5.00 without electric. There is no water or dump but the area is very nice. There was many RV but almost nobody, I guess they just go there for the weekend. In Minot's Walmart, it says no extended stay, so I guess it could have been ok to stay overnight there too.
We are at the Walmart in Lloydminster now, with a Walmart guess internet access. On a post it say no overnight except for campers, pretty nice. Wine is not cheap in Alberta, 40 dollars for 4 liters, so we will go gently on it.
We used the dump available at Battleford tourist info. in Saskatchewan, Very strong wind all day co the MPG took a hit. I think a saw a dump also in Lloydminster AB. There suppose to be a dump at Canadian Tire in Lloydminster too but I did not check. Diesel is 1.31 a litter all the way from Portal to Alberta.
You all have a nice trip.
