Yeee Haww! Finallt in Alaska proper after brief day trips at Hyder, Skagway & 3 nights in Haines.
Just came over the TOW & now in Chicken for a multi day music festival. Lucky us. No rain on the TOW but it was a miserable 4 hour dusty ride from Dawson.
The Canadian side is just fine. Well maintained. The US portion is another story from the border to the Eagle cut off, then the rest of the way is not much better.
15 miles of 10, 15, maybe little bursts of 20mph. A crawl at best. Oh sure the ADOT has been working but not today. Saw one survey crew doing something in the whole 15 miles.
