We too are in the land of WiFi and Verizon Datastream, after long gaps.
We did enjoy our stay at Rivers Edge in Fairbanks, and Fairbanks was very nice.
Denali included 4 days at Savage Creek. With a mix of moose, grizzly, snow - and, we joined the 30% club and saw The Mountain well for a few hours. Then on into 'Tek' for three days. Good Green Bus ride into the park, after a night of heavy rain. We joined the 4% club, and were within 300' of a large wolf, more grizzlies and a peak of The Mountain again. Many other good sightings, and yeah - some great looking country too...
Our drive South to Talkeenta was cloudy and rainy. The country we traveled thru was great even with these clouds. And I support the input to allow lots of time when going South from Denali - as it is breathtaking.
We lucked out on the ride South from Fairbanks to Denali, as we decided to not stop in Anderson because of incoming storm, and it was on a Sunday with no construction but rough dirty roadways for sure. We were a day too early for our Denali Reservations, so also stayed a bit North at Denali RV Park, and will second the input they had solid WiFi.
Hope all of the Roll Call 2014 gang are traveling well.
Best to all, be safe, have fun,
Smitty
