"Taking out the orifice is not complicated, and a good cleaning might help. It is is OEM, you might as well just have them replace it with a new one. Also, the LP pipe that goes in and actually does the burning, can get rusted and cause flow problems. A bit more work to get that out and make sure no blockage is taking place. How is the flow to your burners? Could you possibly be a bit low."
Smitty, yes, the orifice has been taken out and cleaned twice, the burner has been checked and cleaned and the pressure adjusted. After the 2 cleanings it worked for a short while but once I hit the road it clogged again and stopped cooling. I can only assume that there is crud in the line behind the fridge that is getting knocked loose. Gas at the stove is fine. I plan on calling an rv place in Anchorage this morning and making an appt. for early July. Will request the gas line be either cleaned out or the 3' piece behind the fridge removed and replaced with a much shorter piece.
I do have the tools to remove the orifice (and have also removed and checked the burner) and a can of compressed air so once I get into Riley and if/when it stops pouring I'll try cleaning the orifice to see if I can get the ting working while I'm there. From there I go into Tek and will repeat the process if necessary.
Sounds like you've got this to 'in your sleep' type routine. How about disconnecting wires and cleaning contacts and grounds? (It's the only thing that I've not heard you have tried. And who knows:)!)
Hope you enjoy Tek as much as we did, we got a spot in the first loop (Second down from the one this on the trail out to the amphitheater, which is another nice site too.) that by pulling in front ways, we could look out the windshield to see a bit of the river bed and the mountain side on the other side. Lots of moose and bear activity when we were in camp about 6-8 days ago now.)
We also enjoyed Savage Creek, with a spot (29) that we had a great day of 'The Moutain' outside the front screen too.
Enjoy, travel safe,
Smitty
