A lady in one of the visitor centers in YT told me that they will not bother you even tho it is posted. I won't name the center, but she said she and DH park their MH right in front of the signs sometimes. Maybe Sue T could shed some light on this.
I will shed a bit on this topic...
Back in 2009 and 2010 I started noticing the no overnight parking signs along the Alaska Hwy. in the Yukon particularly around the Whitehorse areas thru Destruction Bay along with a few added rest stops thru Beaver Creek as I have overnighted at three places in the past that had those signs posted as I and no one else known to have been bothered.
I will stop short of stating you will not be bothered though, as if I am very tired well after dark and see others overnight including RV's and semi truck rigs that do despite the sign posted, well hey I can use a rest too...(as a typical semi or motorcoach will block out the posted sign anyway) and just use that excuse if any authority happens to bother you stating you didn't the sign as some big looking rig parked next to it.
British Columbia has many no overnight roadsigns as well, as I have parked overnight among a few places that had the signs posted upon unfamiliar territory and far away from any known campground, too tired and too dark to go any further...so far I haven't been bothered in BC parked overnight in those places.
