At Camp Run-A-Muck in Hyder. We stayed here a couple of years ago and at that time, the current manager had taken some time off for medical reasons. The place was not in such good shape, but now that she is back there have been significant improvements. The price of $25 was good for us.
Yesterday afternoon on my run, I spotted a black bear waltzing across the road that leads to the boat harbor. It seemed to be more concerned with its route than paying any attention to me.
Last night, at Fish Creek, we saw a sow and a cub. The sow sent the cub up a tree while she went fishing. Today we drove back to the Salmon Glacier. Actually, we went all the way back to the old mining areas. In our Toyota Tundra, the road was just fine. The views were spectacular and I highly recommend that if in the area, you make the drive.
