I'll bet all the glaciers were just amazing then. We walked up to Worthington about two weeks ago. It was so special for us the way it is now that I can only imagine how it was then. First time I ever got to really touch a glacier or drink a handful of water as it melted off.
Nature's beauty abounds so much in Alaska. It really stirred my soul in so many ways.

Couple other glaciers in Southcentral AK that have moved are the Portage glacier (used to be RIGHT THERE) and the Matanuska: not sure how one would measure it's changes since it's not on a road, but it was a lot more accessible in the '60's.
