Last night we were at a very nice BC Provincial park and today we made it through Jasper National Park and planned on staying at a Provincial Park near Radium Springs, but when we arrived we found no room at the inn. We drove on down the road to Invermere where we got permission to boondock in the Canadian Tire store parking lot.
After our time in Alaska and the Yukon, it is going to take awhile for us to get used to the traffic, etc for our drive home. The Icefield Parkway was a mess with people driving like nuts, slowing down without pulling off the road, stopping without getting off the road, tailgating, driving way over the limit and simply not paying attention. Also, the amount of traffic was so much more than what we have encountered in the last two months.
I'm ready to go back North! I guess it will have to wait until next year.
