I know its early but we have been planning for the past 3 months. I know its another 15 months at least till we leave but we are just going crazy... So here is our very rough plan overview. Leave mid...

Count us in! Last trip was in 2009...waaaay too long ago. I've been eager to head back but DH was a little reluctant. But at last, next year's the year.
First time we went from southern Wisconsin to the Alcan, into Alaska and swung north to Fairbanks then came south to Talkeetna (my favorite little town), Anchorage. Then went to Valdez, back to Haines Junction and down to Haines where we used the Marine Highway to slowly travel south to Bellingham. (Obviously there were many more places, but this is getting long.) The whole trip was maybe six weeks. In 2015 we'll probably take the Cassiar, but who knows. We'll take three months. Just know the anticipation is part of what makes this such a great trip.
