Does this imply that from Chicken you'll meet more oncoming traffic and hence have more potential passing and rock damage issues?
Not really, if you take it south it will probably be late summer when less traffic is heading north. We left Chicken at 7am and the border does not open until 8am, so we did not see anyone for a few hours. Even then it was mostly class C rentals out of Whitehorse or cars.
Also, we got passed by 3 large diesel pushers with toads. The ferry can only take one at a time, so we ended up with about an hour wait.
