Churches book is good but don't take it for the gospel.
That's a good one!
I would go a step further, and I am probably in the minority. We just left Alaska and barely glanced at this book. With smart phones and apps out there I felt there was hardly any need for it and I wouldn't buy it again. Milepost however, was invaluable,if you take the time to learn how to use it. I recommend a small pack of post it notes to mark the pages you are currently using. it cut down on my frustration immensely.
I think the MP is maybe especially helpful to those who plan on exploring the smaller roads like Denali Hwy (which we did twice).
We opted to leave our 5th wheel in CA and take a truck camper and it changed the entire mood of our trip. No worries about campgrounds and we took many "roads less traveled" including the Nabesna, McCarthy, Denali, the Dalton, and Skilak Lake Rd.
