Good Sam Road Service is a great idea. A friend had his MH transmission go out on his way home on the Cassiar Highway in 2012. He ended up with a 100-mile tow to Smithers, BC--paid for by Good Sam. Got a motel in Smithers and used his toad for the 5 days it took for repairs (his transmission was replaced with a low-mileage used one that is still in his MH).
And, in addition to a motel and an RV garage, there is even a Safeway with WiFi in Smithers. You won't know how much that is appreciated until you take your Alaska trip!
