One day returning to the US they took our tomatoes (I ate one) and we cut off the tops of the green onions for them. They got the restriction that morning.
Another time before firewood was so restricted there was a sign at the ferry going to Victoria about no firewood in Canada. When I asked the agent said to put it in the pickup over there - when full the employees would have a auction and donate the money to help local children. What a great plan!
Things change, just go with the flow...
