Record high? Nada. I remember when the Canadian dollar was worth only 60 US cents. We joked that a trip into the US cost us double, but had to go because we were competing in a sports competition. Needless to say we didn't buy much but did bring silver & gold home. :)
Yes, those where very bad years, but I think that things where cheaper in USA in those days, now, prices are getting pretty close, except for fuel of course. We do not buy as much as before when in USA.
