I go through this border many time during the year, never had problem with food.
Are you going to AK from there? I always go through Notre Dame des Bois to see my mother before any trip. For AK, I go through Montreal, Ottawa, North Bay, Sault Ste-Marie USA to Duluth, Minot then Portal to Saskatoon, Edmonton and Dawson Creek, then I slowwww down.

Yes, we are headed to AK. We are currently in Sudbury, ON and will be taking a route through Canada.
