We have a 27 foot Class C and did not tow on our trip to Alaska this past summer. We saw everything we wanted to and more. But, that was our plan. Your plans are likely to be different. We rented a car for a day in Fairbanks to go to places we did not want to take the RV. The cost was very reasonable and the rental company came to the campground to pick us up. Also, keep in mind that if you plan to use the Alaska State Ferry System at any point, they will charge by length of vehicle(s).
