My father will be honored posthumously by the museum this summer for constructing the Beaver Creek airstrip in the mid-1960s. That airstrip started out as his little landing strip for his plane. Now it is an official port of entry to Canada and is maintained by the Yukon government.
What a cool connection to the area's history! I've read most of your blog and highly recommend it.
