We have been thinking and planning for about 3 year's now(since retirement). All along I figured we'd take the Motorhome but my last thought, is to tent it? (I know, Crazy...but it's not in stone yet). We would be taking our sweet time with no rush whatsoever. Has anyone heard of such a lame brain thought as tent camping to Alaska? It's not as though I need to go get all this camping gear, I have it still from the good old day's(minus a new tent).
So it looks like 2017 for us, MH? Tent? who know's.....those of you going this year...have a Great time!!!
On our first trip to Yukon we took the truck with a tent and slept on the ground for four weeks through B.C., Yukon and Alaska. Only wildlife problem we had was with rodents getting under the tent and harassing our cat, who was with us in the tent at night.
The tent didn't change our choice of camping locations.
See images from the trip in September 1993 here
