It debunked a couple urban myths I've been spreading for the last several decades. Guess I'll have to think up some new tall tales on Alaska facts. :-)
Let's see, moose can run on their hind legs. How about large halibut pulling commercial fishing vessels under water and sinking them or mabye an attacking grizly bear will stop an attack if you can manage to scratch their ears. Yeah those should do.
Note (legal disclaimer) If you fail to scratch quiclkly enough said bear will rip one of your arms off and beat you with it so think twice before trying this method of fending off a charging brown bear.
I can pretty much confirm the above ear scratching technique will not work if you find yourself being pursued by a police K-9 dog. He will systimatically snip off your fingers, spit them out and look for the next digit. I mean how deep of a manure pile do you think I'm standing in to believe that one? Jeesh
