When we made our trip in 2013, we left northern Indiana for 79 days on May 19th. We were told along the way we were "2 weeks" ahead of the caravans. We made our entire trip without reservations for campsites other than calling ahead on the day of arrival and then we didn't use our Verizon phone at all while traversing Canada. One night only in Jasper did we have no hookups due to late arrival. The only reservations we made, were for our 10 day trip port hopping along the inside passage and those were made in January 2013.
