The best way to see AK is on your own! There is only one road to go and one big loop, either you do it one way around or the other and a few one way to places like Valdez, Whittier, Homer, ect, very hard to get lost.
I don't know how caravan do when they see a bear or other animals on the side of the road, do they all stop? No time to admire the scenery when you want to enjoy the view on your own time, stopping for wild camping when you find the best view of your life? No spare time to spend in areas that you fall in love with, no way to go when you don't like.
Just go and enjoy, whatever problem you encounter, there will allways be some other RV'er to help you out.
