We're leaving our home in Saskatchewan August 15, heading for Alaska. We've got 3 nights booked at northern Saskatchewan provincial parks, and for the rest, we'll meander. We'll get to the border at Beaver Creek/Alcan whenever we get there, late August. The Dawson route sounds nice, but might be a bit rougher than we want for our motorhome. We want to spend at least 2 weeks in Alaska, but we may extend that to 3. Depends...any time we spend there will mean less time south this winter. Coming back, we intend to head back down to Prince Rupert, B.C. and then wander back east from there. This is our first autumn as retirees. Also our first really long trip in the motorhome. We're really looking forward to it. :)
We're busy gathering information now. Hubby wants to learn how to fish. :) I wouldn't mind trying it again, too. We both need to learn how to clean what we catch. :)
