Roads in good shape
Preparing for construction just outside of Ft. St. John several miles will be involved.
Late leaving so over night Wowowon about 50 miles N.
They had a couple of full hookups, $40 but we were just looking to overnight with no services they took $20.

Ft. St. John to Ft. Nelson, on to the hot springs.

Diesel Ft. Nelson $1.20 per Liter
The road is in fare shape, just rough pavement, running at 60 mph.

Checked out several Boon-docking locations, mileage is from Ft. St. John,
First at about mile 150 on the right just a gravel turn off right next to the highway.
Several in the vicinity 170 to 183 mostly small areas along the highway.
Mile 183 was a larger area back in about 100 yards large area could possibly hand a couple of rigs.
Mile 190 was another possible location down by the creek.
Wild life today before 10 am, so far:
Hawks, Coyote, old Black bear, Owl
on the road again, we will be a bit before hitting Whitehorse next time I know of internet.
Trip Report continues
We shortened the trip due to weather it chased us out of S Dakota and followed us all the way home.
To answer question I expect more travelers, but even with the exchange rates fuel in Canada is still expensive.

Northern Rockies Lodge diesel $1.54 per Liter skip or add just enough to reach Watson Lake, if you can go 325 miles diesel will be available at every major community.
Construction Just outside of Ft. Nelson not started yet but everything is being staged

Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park - BC Parks
The Provincial park is open $16 overnight and a dip in the springs.

Up early, Construction begins almost immediately maybe 10 miles.

Multiple possible Boondocking locations around mile 160 from Watson Lake
mostly gravel pits on Right side.

Walmart is still allowing overnights.
please don’t put out your slides and if you put down your jacks or levelers put some plywood or other such protection to the parking lot pavement. Several Class A’s were completely setup as if
in camping mode.

Haines Jct.
Pine Lake Provincial park is open, better option than Walmart.
Village Bakery and Deli, is open great food must stop before heading toward Beaver Creek.
Turn Right at the Raven Motel, drive to the end of the street it is on the left.
The road is in pretty good condition to Destruction Bay
At Burwash the road is where the frost heaves begin, time to slow down.
After that several pavement breaks. This is where it becomes a mess, wash board, dust or mud depending on the weather or construction. They weren’t working when we came thru.
It rained, snowed, or hailed while we crossed this 80 miles to Beaver Creek none of it stuck to the ground.
Fuel was very expensive in Beaver Creek so if you can make Tok wait to fuel up.

Tok, Glennalllen, Anchorage
Tok frost heaves begin to Glennallen, after Glennallen the road is great to Gunsite lodge
then a few more frost heaves.
We are home, clean up begins tomorrow, not as bad this year.
