Is there a printable "Roll call 2017" sign hidden somewhere on the forums or do people just get a chunk of cardboard and a Magic Marker?
Well, at least once one is in Alaska, instead of "Wash me" they could write "Roll Call Alaska 2017" in the dust on their rigs. :B;) - Fer2005Explorer

Everybody has done their own thing. - garyemunsonExplorer IIIs there a printable "Roll call 2017" sign hidden somewhere on the forums or do people just get a chunk of cardboard and a Magic Marker?
- sue_tExplorerIf you're looking for maps of the National Parks in Alaska (and other states) visit this page http://npmaps.com/states/#Alaska
Apparently, this site has 1,474 free high-resolution national park maps to view, save, and download. According to the post on facebook, the site was created by a former park ranger who collected all the maps over time and he is now releasing high-res digital versions. - sue_tExplorerTravel Yukon has a site where you can share photos of your adventures on the Yukon portion of the Alaska Highway this year, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Alaska Highway.

There's also a link to festivals and events taking place this summer, and another link to things to see and do along the Alaska Highway. - sljohnson1938Explorer

Add us to the list. We have family obligation Thus. May 18th & will be leaving eastern long island in N.Y. on Sat May 20th. The plan is to head north to Michigan, & drive over the Mackinac Bridge, (bucket list). Then head west on 2, & cross in Montana.

Good plan, John. You'll love the bridge!!
Heading across the Plains states rather than in the U.S. or Canada is the same. You might want to stay in the U.S. as long as you can for better fuel prices. Hwy 2 is an excellent way to go!

On Sept 4th 2017, you can walk the Mackinac Bridge. - PghBobExplorerLisa, make sure your health insurance will cover you for that trip (Medicare will not), and make sure you have all the necessary papers for Alice (shots etc.). Have fun, it sounds like a great trip.
- TravelingLady66ExplorerAlice (my labradoodle) and I are headed for Alaska, Yukon, NWT and across to Newfoundland this summer. Has been on my bucket list way before I even heard the term "bucket list!" Crossing the Canadian border 3rd week of June..... if you pass an older Roadtrek w/NM license plates and a white labradoodle in the passenger seat -- that's us!
Lisa! - R__WalterExplorerI'm headed up in my Lance TC to start as a volunteer on June 10 in the Alaska Parks System near Fairbanks. Currently in the Carolinas with the 5th wheel. To Massachusetts on Apr 2, back to NM at early May and off to Alaska around Memorial Day.
