IMO, that is an excellent plan! That is pretty much the schedule we use. This will be our 4th trip and we still haven't seen and done everything we want to do. I really feel sorry for those that drive all that distance and then only stay a month or so.
Really suggest reading the 2013 and 2016 editions of this discussion. We gathered a ton of useful info from these!
