In planning for our trip to Alaska next summer, we are thinking about leaving Jasper NP, heading west on 16 to pick up the ferry in Prince Rupert. Does anyone have any suggestions for an over-night stop about half-way between?
We stayed in Burns Lake on our way from Prince George to the Cassiar Highway and very much enjoyed our stay. We even did a downtown self-guided history tour while there. And, if you have a kayak or canoe (we have an inflatable kayak), the lake is very calm and scenic.
