Well, no wonder Ken they think you're coming in to buy their province. :-) Crossing the boarder never bothers me. I've done nothing and answer their silly questions truthfully. Just got to roll with the Canadian boarder patrol. I've had some really nice folks at the boarder crossing points during my many crossings over the years. Generally in the out of the way crossing points. Like between Haines and Haines Jct, up on the Top of the World Hwy and the folks were very helpful when I crossed into AK from the Alaska Hwy into Alaska. I was leading a group of 7 motorcycle riders from various states around the US and Yukon TT on a trip around Alaska and one rider turned up missing. I called them periodically as we traveled down to Valdez for a night to see if he had crossed back into Alaska. Finally when we got to Valdez they confirmed he had left their country into Alaska. Turns out he left the lodge we were staying at in Haines Jct and gone south instead of north and ended up in Whitehorse. So he had breakfast before turning north. Then when we left Valdez and headed north we stopped for fuel in Glennallen. One rider from Southern CA took off ahead of us and headed north towards Fairbanks, we were headed towards Anchorage and down to Seward. Another friend from Whitehorse jumped on his Honda CBR-1100XX and went in pursuit to get him back on track. They soon returned and we headed west. Funny he had just gotten a citation by a Valdez P.D. officer for doing 120 mph. Cop says you trying to catch those other riders? No, just a beautiful day and enjoying the scenery. Cop was nice and only cited him for 19 mph over the limit. Anything over 20 mph in Alaska is a mandatory court appearance. Pain to get from Whitehorse to Valdez for a court appearance.
Oh well, enough with boring everyone with my many exploits around Alaska over the years I lived up there.
