Oh, the anticipation! Departing southern Nevada on Saturday and I'll be out of Canada by the 25th of July unless I extend my health insurance up there. Wrapping up the little details, ready to pack the RV tomorrow, see the vet for the pets Saturday morning and then we're off!
My wife Margie and I took my mother in our old class A back in 2006 with no toad, so this time I'm going with the intention of exploring some the Canadian and Alaskan backcountry with my Jeep.
This will be a completely new experience for me. I lost Margie, my RVing partner of 26 years last month, and though we had planned on making this trip together, I decided I'd do it alone anyway.
Just the packing has been quite the experience as I basically needed to remove everything to figure out where my darling wife had stored stuff, and what stuff I would need going forward.
So on your trip up north this year, keep an eye out for www.rv-camping.org's little class C towing a big Jeep, and be sure to say howdy!
