Years ago my X-wife and I were traveling from Glen Alen to Anchorage when she began balling. What's wrong? Her grandfather had died several years prior on that stretch of road leaving her grandmorther stranded as she had no idea how to drive their rig truck with a lage Airstream. So my father-in-law had to fly up to drive the rig back to their home state for her.
Just a reminder to everyone. Be prepared! We carry an AED, large 1st aid kit, Nitro, and an assorment of other items. Being in Alaska or en-route, help is often a long ways away. Both medical and fire. So be prepared to help yourself.
And by all means teach your SO how to drive the rig you travel in. I started mine on a 40' 5'er last summer and she had never towed anything before. This season we begin backing lessons. Last rally we wagonmastered one attendee fell ill and couldn't drive home as the attenindg ER Doc pulled his license and one died leaving his wife to deal with the rig.
