Grande Cache to Fort St. John is in pretty good shape.
Good to hear at least most of the construction zone areas in between have been now completed....With the record rain and limited to no visibility due to fog upon me driving thru there in August and September 2016, those major construction projects along the Alaska Highway were horrible :
The Tower Lake - Pine Valley corridor portion of the Alaska Highway (mile 20-ish between Dawson Creek and Taylor) was horrendous while getting some extra widening assuming it will be four laned or at least a passing lane addition.
Another widening project on the southbound side of the Taylor Grade at mile 34 was in the works as well.
The mile 58 area north of Charlie Lake was a major widening highway project too, which is badly overdue and needed with all the local and commercial traffic in all those areas mentioned.
I was real impressed with the Pouce Coupe to Toms Lake corridor stretch (near Alberta border) of Highway 2 when it was finally completed, no more congested narrow two lane all the way thru.
The Dawson Creek Albertsons, a couple lights before the traffic circle, had the cheapest fuel at $1.26.
In comparison to two years ago, the price was $1.10 per litre at Safeway and Co-Op in Dawson Creek.
