We have to be in Fairbanks on the 29th for our trip up to Prudhoe Bay. We like to come a little early as the traffic is not as bad and before the dreaded road construction begins.
Kudos to the creator of this years decal. We have seen a number of them along the way. We had a very fun dinner at Sanchez Cantina in White Horse with Joanna and Jeanette a couple nights ago. This mother/daughter team are hitting all the scenic spots towing Joanna's 1971 Prowler. She has done an admirable job of preparing for her trip and they appear to be having a ball. Don't want to hear any more whining from you big strong guys about Top of the World/Taylor Highway as these two fair damsels are doing it alone today. They were an inspiration to us and we have done this four times!
Y'all travel safe, keep the greasy side down and don't forget this is supposed to be a fun trip. Slow down, stop when you see something interesting, forget about the fuel prices, and remember the famous words of the proprietor of the Tetsa River fuel stop, when he charged us $7.00 plus for gas in 2012, "NO SNIVELLING"!
