Roswell to Alamogordo on 70 vs Tucumcari on 54 in wind?

Looking at the overall wind forecast for the state you will have less wind on 70 than on I-40 and 54. Still windy but not as bad on 70 and much better once you get past Roswell and get into the wind shadow of the mountains. PS: the wind is always blowing in West TX and Eastern NM. Sometimes it pushes you along to get better mileage and sometimes it holds you back.
